My Love/Hate Connection With PUBG

broken image

Ah, PUBG.

Player Unknown's Battlegrounds

Battle Royale

The games that are taking over on the internet gaming by storm. PUBG is among those, and among the very first. A mod that turned into a standalone game. Nevertheless, there's the concern, is the game good? Is it playable? Do the individuals enjoy it? For my personal point of view, we need to go back to the beginning.

The Beginning

September 12, 2017. The day that I got PUBG for PUBG tournaments, even though it was still in very early accessibility. I had seen some close friends play, along with every streamer ever plays it. I figured, why not? It was $30, which isn't inexpensive, however not dreadful. From what I had heard, the developer was extremely active in development. So I purchased in.

For a while, it was fun. I had a group of good friends I would play teams with and, being my initial FPS on COMPUTER, I found out how to play with a keyboard and computer mouse. There were insects, obviously, and cyberpunks, but it's a very early access game, you expect that. Right? Well, right.

Things looked great. Updates were being available in. Cash was being made. Everybody worldwide was eagerly anticipating what the game would certainly become.

Today

Fast forward to today, over a year later on.

There are still troubles. A great deal of problems;

It's not such as the game doesn't get upgraded. They push out updates regularly, already, and shut down the web servers two times a week for maintenance. It's just ... a conflict of interest, maybe?

The programmers are really stressed over money, or so it appears. Also, with the sea of battle Royale games appearing, they are stressed over staying relevant. The problem is, they aren't actually helping anything.

The company appears to be much more concerning skins, maps, and tools as opposed to repairing what they currently have. Every efficiency update helps something, however damages two or 3 more things. For example, one update left my pals and I incapable to even join a suit. Not good.

Therefore, I'm worn out. It's enjoyable, yet I'm tired. You will certainly have evenings where every little thing is fine and you enjoy. After that, you will certainly have evenings where you get fired around corners or lose battles you plainly must've won. The replay system is still so laggy that you can't also view a replay and accurately see what occurred.

Truthfully, at the beginning of the night, it resembles a tossup whether the server has your back. If it doesn't, you lose a lot of fire battles. If it does, you win those. It's quite insane, however occurs time and time again.

Even with all the problems and me getting angry, I still have over 200 hrs in the game. Why? Since it's enjoyable. It's a fun game, when it functions. The issue is when you promote it to be in eSports competitions, after that the entire world sees 2 gamers endure a grenade that blew up right at their feet (yeah, that occurred).

It's an argument. Because if you post about it, individuals state it's your COMPUTER. All I can say is, I have actually played sufficient to recognize it's the game, and not my PC. If I cannot play a game with a GTX 1080, after that I don't wish to play that game.
