Looking for winter warmth? Add a cotton or fleece blanket to the bed at night. Sure, most of us think of cotton blankets are summer bedding, but what we should remember is that layering a couple of blankets can create more warmth --- with less weight --- than a quilt or comforter.
With so many colors from which to select from polar fleece blankets suppliers, there are blankets for winter made from either 100% cotton or fleece. One of the best ways to add color to our bedrooms during the gloomy months of winter is to add two or three blankets, each in a different shade. For example, what could be more appealing than an off white cotton blanket folded back over a blue fleece blanket. While the blue will be the predominant color, the edge of off white will appear as a trim while adding extra warmth.
We have all been told that the best way to keep warm is to layer our clothing. The same principle applies to our beds. Layer a few lightweight blankets and more warmth will be held next to the body. If one should become too warm, just peel away the top blanket. Using several lighter blankets for winter will guarantee better regulation of heat retention, keeping us comfortable throughout the night.
Cotton blankets and fleece blankets are easy to care for. Wash in cold water to retain the shape and color. Never use bleach, especially chlorine bleach. Always dry the blanket on the lowest temperature.
For childrens' bedrooms, either of these blankets will be ideal. They are easy to wash without showing wear. And, should a spill or a little accident occur, the blanket can be cleaned within an hour or two, rather than having to go to the laundromat to find an extra large washer or pay the high cost of dry cleaning.
